Metaphors and Similes
TR Metaphors and Similes This resource, from Ian McIndoe, provides some examples of metaphors and similes to improve the quality of your pupil's writing. The list is by no means exhaustive and teachers should, for their more able authors, encourage some originality! This list can be either enlarged for Reading and Writing Walls or laminated to go with a sort of 'Writer's Toolkit'. To gain access to the Word document click where it says download now.
