Lists and Instructions Writing lists and instructions - This activity aims to encourage pupils to think of the need to carry out certain acts in a certain order. They will have to arrange a series of familiar activities into the correct order and can write their own set of instructions if this is considered appropriate.


 

Making Gran's Cup of Tea This writing activity can be used to support the teaching of instructional text and develop pupils' ability to sequence key events.

Location Within these activities pupils will learn to use a wide range of positional language, describe the location of a character, and give oral and written instructions for a route or journey. They can then write a description of their route to school.

Weather Symbols Within these activities pupils will learn interactively to describe the weather and create a simple weather forecast using labels, symbols and maps. They will also learn what adjectives are and how they can be used to describe the weather.

Animal Study This is a versatile tool that can enhance pupil inquiry in research at a simple level. The graphic organiser invites students to explore four facets of animals (basic facts, animal babies, interaction with others, and habitats).
