Teachers generally
plan about six topics a year, aiming at a balance across all six 5-14 ICT
Strands.
Click on the links above to see a range of suggested activities that
integrate ICT into topic areas, categorised by strand, which may help teachers
choose the ICT focus for their topic.
For example: -
A Viking topic could act as a vehicle for practising 'Communicating and
Collaborating' by making contact, by e-mail, with the teacher, or another
school, acting in role of Viking Chief, or 'expert'.
A World War 2 topic could have a 'Collecting and Analysing' focus, through the
creation of spreadsheets, or datafiles about evacuation. |
