"The experiences and outcomes are an essential component of Scotland’s new curriculum and apply wherever learning is planned. They signpost progression in learning and set challenging standards that will equip young people to meet the challenges of the 21st century."

SBC set up nine Working Groups to engage with the draft Experiences and Outcomes – one for each curricular area plus Modern Languages. These groups were charged with the following tasks:

  • providing feedback to LTScotland
  • trialling at least one of the Experiences and Outcomes
  • delivering CPD at various venues (where appropriate) and
  • writing up a Case Study for inclusion in a Local Authority Resource

The resources below illustrate one way of ‘unpacking’ the draft Experiences and Outcomes. Schools will be free to select from it and adapt the materials to suit individual needs or purposes.
