People in the past - Egyptians
Teacher Planning Wonderful resource from a teacher in Kent with masses of teacher planning and associated worksheets. (Thanks to Viv Rae)
The British Museum - Ancient Egypt An excellent site, very much for children - but looks classy and with fantastic photos of real artefacts. In each section, there are Story, Explore and Challenge options, really well thought out. Load up the site in advance or it will be quite slow, and make sure you have the plugins - worth it.
Snaith Egypt From Snaith Primary - explore Ancient Egypt with simple language and some super ideas.
Egyptian Civilsation This site has many beautiful scenes taken from wall paintings to illustrate Daily Life, Religion, Writing, etc.
Dorling Kindersley Look for the Ancient Egypt link on the top left, to be taken to some excellent photos free for classroom use
Akhet Egyptology Good site with connections to the National Museum of Scotland - thoroughly recommend the 'Clickable Mummy' link
Primary Projects Useful printable activity sheets in the Hands-on section
Neferchichi's Tomb Fun site with lots of excellent free clipart
Richard Deurer's Ancient Egyptian Design Wonderful examples of architecture, fashion and decorative motifs and borders. At the bottom of the page are lots of links to other pages on Ancient Egypt within this website. Very comprehensive, eg photos from inside tombs and lots of gruesome mummy details
Mark Millmore's Ancient Egypt Send someone a hieroglyphs e-card!
Ancient Egypt Cyberhunt Follow the links to find the answers to these Ancient Egypt questions - check first to see if the links are up to date
Gander Academy's Ancient Egypt Huge number of links to Mummies, Pyramids, Pharaohs, Daily Life, etc. Also excellent downloadable Student Activity Sheets, all related to specific web pages (Ancient Egypt Lessons)
Nova Online - Great Pyramid Explore inside the great pyramid with real panoramic photos that you can move round in - fabulous. The 'High Resolution' route is worth it but should be loaded in advance.
